Selling to the shop
Sally Jo Burton buys for the floor at 204 Nicholas Ave. She looks at pieces that match the quality already in the shop. She does not appraise, and she does not invent a value. If she wants it, she makes an offer.
Start a submissionA complete note is the useful one: what the piece is, what you are asking if you have a figure, clear photographs, and any papers that came with it.
Sally B AntiquesTuesday–Saturday, 11 to 5. Monday she is out buying.
The standard
The shop takes exceptional furniture, pictures, jewelry, and decorative pieces: sound condition, a known recent history, and something that sets the object apart. Most of what is on the floor now is priced from one hundred thousand dollars up.
Case pieces, tables, and mirrors with a maker, a period, or a history she can write down.
See the furnitureOriginal paintings of real quality. Not prints, posters, or later copies.

How a submission works
01
A plain description, the size, an asking figure if you have one, photographs in daylight, and any bill, letter, or old tag.
02
Put the details in one place so she is not guessing from a single sentence.
03
If the piece is of interest, Sally writes within two weeks. She cannot answer every note. A missing photograph or a vague description slows the ones she does answer.
The form
No. Sally does not give appraisals or opinions of value. For that, ask an accredited appraiser through the American Society of Appraisers, or your local chamber of commerce.
She researches pieces she might buy, and the pieces already on the floor. She does not run a general identification service.
